Originally incorporated in 1952, dahl was purchased by Trygve Husebye in 1960. His vision was to transform the company from a master distributor to a manufacturer designing and producing valves of unmatched quality.

Over six decades later, we remain a family-owned manufacturer still dedicated to our mission: Connecting quality products and peace of mind to homes, businesses and people for a lifetime.

Quality You Can Feel

In the plumbing industry, offshore sourcing of raw materials, parts, packaging and/or finished goods is common practice. We take a different approach. All of our mini-ball™ valve products are designed, engineered, and manufactured in our Canadian facilities and we source our raw materials and components from the United States and Canada. This gives us full control over product quality and on-time delivery to customers.

Better materials equals better products and long-term savings. We set stringent standards for suppliers and test all materials prior to considering purchase.

Our Brass. Compared to “offshore” brass, American brass has fewer impurities and a preferable microstructure. This results in far superior corrosion resistance in aggressive water conditions.

Our O-Rings. dahl only purchases American O-rings made from the highest quality compounds. O-rings used by dahl are free from common defects—such as geometric deficiencies—that cause leaks and rapid deterioration due to inferior resistance to aggressive elements in the water.

We don’t just claim to have premium valves, we back it up with a lifetime warranty. All dahl valves exceed CSA and IAPMO requirements and are guaranteed for the lifetime of the installation. Our warranty is also transferable, so if the property changes owners, it still applies.
